About CBE
Classic Bay Eventing is a beautiful 14 stall barn located in the heart of Unionville. We specialize in training young horses and bringing them up the levels in Eventing and Jumpers. CBE is run by trainer and competitor Shelley Heckles.
Shelley grew up in Pony Club and is a graduate B level rider. She has experience up to the Prelim level in Eventing and level 4 jumpers. Her passion now is retraining off the track Thoroughbreds into new careers. Many of these young Thoroughbreds have gone into the world of eventing with great success. Shelley enjoys the learning process in evaluating what these horses want to be. She is also working at bringing her horse Searrianna up to the higher levels. In 2009 she started her at Pre-novice in Aiken, SC and has now reached Training Level competition and is schooling Prelim- with aspirations for Prelim and beyond in 2010.
She also runs a separate lesson/training barn in Honey Brook,Pa to her younger students with their horses who show in all disciplines of riding. Our goals at Classic Bay Eventing are to give horses a well rounded experience, and to go on into their new lives with confidence and success.
