About CBE
Classic Bay Eventing is a beautiful 10 stall barn located in the heart of Aiken, SC. We specialize in training young horses and bringing them up the levels in Eventing . CBE is run by trainer and competitor Shelley Heckles.
Shelley grew up in Pony Club and is a graduate B level rider. She has experience up to the Prelim level in Eventing and level 3 jumpers. Her passion now is retraining off the track Thoroughbreds into new careers, but also works with many young warmblood horses as well. Many of these young horses have gone into the world of eventing with great success. Shelley enjoys the learning process in evaluating what these horses want to be. She is also working at bringing several of her personal horses through the levels.
Our goals at Classic Bay Eventing are to give horses a well rounded experience, and to go on into their new lives with confidence and success.
The facility
Classic Bay Eventing is a beautiful 10 stall barn on 15 acres in a private equestrian developement. It is quiet and tucked away which gives to its charm. CBE has a large sand dressage arena, stadium jumps at the farm and use of large community stadium course, and miles of hacking on sand roads and open fields. Located on 5 minutes from down town Aiken, and all major Recognized events.
